Behold, the arrival of the fearless Lion into the parched wilderness of Karbala! The very earth and cosmos tremble beneath the majesty of his thunderous stride! In sheer terror shakes the cruel army of ruthless tyrants; The withered dust of autumn blows across their pale, frightened faces! The flashing stroke of Ali's legendary sword gleams across the desert sands, Crashing down like divine wrath upon the vast battalions of falsehood! The triumphant standard of Truth is held soaring high in the hands of Abbas; At every single heroic step shines the unconquered chivalry of Hyder!

میر انیسؔ اس مرثیے میں حضرت عباس علمدارؑ کی شجاعت اور حیدری رعب و دبدبے کا نقشہ کھینچتے ہیں۔ پہلے بند میں میدانِ کربلا میں ان کے داخلے پر زمین و آسمان کے تھرا اٹھنے اور یزیدی لشکر پر ان کی ہیبت کے طاری ہونے کا رزمیہ بیان ہے۔ دوسرے بند میں ذوالفقار اور علمِ حق کا ذکر ہے کہ عباسؑ کے ہاتھ میں پرچمِ اسلام بلند ہے اور ان کا ہر قدم حضرت علی کرم اللہ وجہہ کی غیرت اور بہادری کی سچی تصویر پیش کر رہا ہے۔ انیس کی زبان کا جاہ و جلال بے مثل ہے۔
